I don’t have much time today, so I’ll keep this one short and to the point.

I’ve popped in now and again to see how things are going, and I keep seeing people repeat the same stupid line that radfems aren’t violent to trans people, and that they support the rights of trans people to be free of discrimination.

There are two simple reasons that the above are ongoing lies and deceptions.

The first reason is simple: trans men are men and trans women are women.  If that, in all its complexity, is something you cannot accept, then you are not supporting the rights of trans people to be free from discrimination.

That is the single most central and basic concept to being supportive of trans people. If you cannot accept that, if you find that offensive, or disgusting, or worrisome, then you are being a complete putz and working towards the support and continuation of discrimination and violence against trans people, and saying you aren’t just makes you a liar.

The second reason is that violence is not merely physical, and if your only recognition of it is as a physical thing, then you are stupid, as well as a liar.

The single most common forms of violence used in the world today are verbal and emotional violence. These forms have every single bit the danger, risk, and damage causing power of a swung fist or bat.

And that violence, against trans people, is perpetuated anytime you call a woman a man or a man a woman.  That violence happens when you cross lie about being supportive and yet you state you don’t think that a trans woman is a woman.

As for female socialization, which is rearing its ugly head yet again, anyone who uses that as the basis of why a trans woman isn’t a woman, then be aware that females socialization means that you have been taught by the patriarchy to use emotional and verbal violence instead of physical violence, and that your doing so is in fact the support of the patriarchy instead of the dismantling or resistance of it.

Patriarchy created female socialization — and female socialization is existing in a gender role and a gender expression.  Literally — that is exactly what it means.

So if you want to hate on, or pick on, or make trans people go away — if you want to tell women they can’t use the room for women, or that they aren’t really women, then stop lying about why.

Just be honest — you fucking hate trans people and your half assed attempts at pretending you don’t aren’t fooling anyone but the most gullible.
