Yeah. I know. I think H was talking more about mental illness (the sort of mental illness where it isn’t so much neurodiversity, like autism and actually people in shit tons of pain mentally)

Mental illness and neurodivergence can… um diverge (I really couldn’t think of a better word, this is not a pun) in terms of needs. There’s a lot of neurodivergent variations out there where all the pain folks are in is from society. Like Autism. And then there’s mental illness where a lot of cases have people in pain not cuz of society but in general.

Like depression.

In those cases there’s different needs involved but neither groups should be shat on and messed up. Needs just need to be met.

Of course, people haven’t really stopped fucking up the mentally ill either so your point still stands. It’s just more subtle now.
